Step Counting Troubleshooting
The latest version of the Android app (v0.15.0 or later) supports step counting based on the phone’s sensors.
If step counting via Google Fit is inaccurate or not working, we recommend using the phone’s sensors following the guide below.

• Steps are not updating.
• It worked before but suddenly stopped.

🛠️ How to Fix
1️⃣ Install the Google Fit App
The Google Fit app may be required to fetch step data.
1. Download Google Fit from the Play Store
2. Open the Google Fit app after installation.
2️⃣ Log in and Check Permissions
1. Open the Google Fit app and log in with your Google account.
2. Check if your steps are displayed correctly.
3. Go to Google Account Settings > Apps & Services > Google Fit to ensure Fit data is activated.
3️⃣ Reinstall the WalkMining App
1. Uninstall the WalkMining app.
2. Reinstall the WalkMining app from the Play Store.
3. Open the app and grant Google Fit permissions again.
4. Check if the step count updates properly.
